Carriers and Class 0 Attack Craft
Here's my house rules for Class 0 feedback much appreciated. Came up with these some time ago, probably take a back seat until the Avatar expansion comes out. Using some counters from Battlefleet Gothic
Carriers.
Alert Fighters Carrier may spend a special result to launch a squadron of fighters.
Attack Wave Carrier may spend two special results to launch a number of squadrons up to the carriers class.
Class 0
Class 0 is a generic term for small craft. Once launched a class 0 token is placed in the square of it's home carrier. After that the squadrons move and perform actions in Phase 1: Permanent Effects. Class 0 craft are ultramaneuverable and fast, they don't required dice rolls and can move in any direction. They cannot enter gravitic fields and I haven't got Beyond the Gate but they cannot travel through a warp gate. They can be targeted using normal attacks, any attack on a square containing squadrons removes all squadrons.
Fighters: When coming into contact with a Class 0 token they cancel each other out, remove from board. When coming into contact with a sensor blip, reveal the ship. Has no effect on capital ships
Bombers: When comes into contact with a capital ship causes two damage.
Assault boats: When comes into contact with an objective, disabled or civilian ship, planet it will land marines and give the player 1 VP

Yeah, I have very fond memories playing it when the game was first released. Would love to get back into it but the cost of it on ebay is scary. Don't have any of the stuff now but did manage to track lots and lots of fighter counters on Ebay

With the introduction of Battlestations, brings a new use for Assault Boats. They can claim ownership of the station, landing marines on them.

It's an idea. you can or must disembark troops on the Battlestations to use it to fire.

Yes, if I remember rightly, to use a battlestation you must have a ship on staying on that tile. A assault craft/boarding craft could be used instead freeing up the ship to fight elsewhere. But the opposing player would easily claim it when they put a ship into the square. Think all these rules will probably change or even become redundant as the game grows
