First Battleships off the paint line
Before you look at the images, just be advised, I am not happy with my results! I am from the school of painting that uses enamel and lacquer -- I do not like these new water based acrylic paints!
Since my fleets are arranged by the blue, yellow, red, and green base discs, I felt using those same colors on each ship would make them easier to keep separate in a game. So my first two Battleships are here, the bases are spares from Ignition:
The Phoebe ship. Much harder to paint, as others have said, since it has no fine surface texture. This one still needs some unit designation stripes or something:
The Amycles ship. I think I need to tone down the red a bit:

Good work ! It's a very good idea to use the same colors between the discs and the miniatures !
And don't forget to post pictures of up to 5 classes to the painting contest !
